The 4th Merlion at Mount Faber

The 4th Merlion

One of the path you can take to reach Mount Faber

Friends recently came back from conquering Mount Kinabalu, which is 4,095.2 metres above sea level. Taman Negara Kinabalu is considered the highest mountain in Southeast Asia.

This gave me an inspiration to write about the mountains of Singapore. Or should I be less dramatic and just say the hills of Singapore.

Have you conquered the treacherous mountains of Singapore? I have.

Bukit Timah Hill is 164 meters (538 ft.) and is considered the highest hill in Singapore. I recommend strolling, running, hiking or mountain biking activities.

Mount Faber is 106 metres (348 ft.).  Mount Faber (not a MOUNTain but its really just a hill)  is one of the oldest parks in Singapore. The hill is located near the Bukit Merah and overlooks the Telok Blangah. One can enjoy the panoramic view of the southern part of the city state. The peak is worth conquering, you just have to follow the footpaths near Harbourfront MRT.

Upper Faber Point, the highest point in the park has a mural wall depicting scenes of local history of Singapore. Here you can find another Merlion. I call him/her the 4th Merlion. 1st and 2nd Merly can be seen at the Marina Bay and the 3rd is in Sentosa.
